It’s hard to know where President Yoon Suk Yeol goes from here. He’s facing an impeachment vote over the weekend, and unlike his American counterpart in insurrection/impeachment, it sure seems like his own party is turning against him. It’s possible he resigns, but that doesn’t seem in character for a guy who just flipped double birds to the Korean constitution.

Personally, I think that if you declare yourself all-powerful and then are immediately defeated in embarrassing fashion, you have nothing left to lose. And if Donald Trump has proven anything, it’s that the best way to deflect a controversy is to do something even more controversial. In other words, I think Yoon should take the weekend to see what he can get away with. Here are a few ideas.
