So you thought you were done with obnoxious political campaigns just because it's an odd-numbered year? Ha! Local elections are starting to kick into gear, and it's time to once again pick the least of many evils appearing on your ballot.

As much as we would rather not burden you with it, we feel it is our civic duty to endorse candidates in your local races.

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR: Jervis Greywash
A fiscal independent who stands firmly against out-of-control spending by the opposing party—but is open-minded enough to support out-of-control spending by his own party.

STATE CONTROLLER: Carmena Thrush
She has a very controlling personality, plus she was recently named one of the state's Top 750 Mayors.

I'm a lifelong resident of the L.A. area, and wrote regularly for MAD magazine for over 20 years. I also have sitcom screenwriting credits, but that's for public access. You wouldn't have much interest in that, would you?
