2. The greatest part of Olympic gymnastics is the vault, because it is over so quickly and nobody has any idea about what contortions the athlete flew through. The only thing anyone cares about is “did she bounce when she landed.” Also, the vault permits endless soft-focus reruns of greatest Olympic moment of the obsessive TV era, The Legend of Keri Strug.
3. The funniest event is still racewalking, and always will be.
I formally dispute this. Absolutely no mention of rhythmic gymnastics or synchronized diving??!
Honestly, I should have mentioned rhythmic gymnastics BUT it’s not nearly as fun to watch as real (er, “artistic”) gymnastics.
