Welcome back to my monthly roundup of funny stuff I’ve seen around the internet. Unfortunately, the last 30 days have felt largely unfunny for many of us. Or maybe funny in a way that also gives you diarrhea?

Nevertheless, it is my sworn duty to provide you with laughter—and laughter you shall have!

As is tradition1, let’s start with the most popular Chortle post of recent vintage. The winner is… my short film, Please Give Me An Oscar Please!

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to watch. And if you haven’t yet had a chance? Well, as the acclaimed poet Rageagainst Themachine once said, “What better place than here? What better time than now?”

Stumbling on “Recent Articles of Mine,” an old piece from The New Yorker written by Jack Handey (SNL), was like finding water in the desert. I thought I was too withered by the harsh sunlight of society to laugh this hard!

“Heading Out West for Fun and Relaxation”
—The Times

“Clean Air, Beautiful Vistas, Friendly People—The West Is Paradise!”
—Sunset Magazine

“I Am Lassoed and Dragged Behind a Horse by Drunken Cowboys!”
—Tombstone News

“Dragged by Horse Every Day! Why Me?”
—Arizona Daily Star

“Explaining to Your Wife Why It’s Not Your Fault That You Are Dragged So Often”
—Couples Magazine

“Ten Things Never to Say to Drunken Cowboys, or You’ll Get Dragged”
—Men’s Journal

I’m not going to spoil the rest here, but just know there are 22 more articles listed after that.
