I am a baby boomer. In grade school there were no organized sports for girls, unless you counted being a cheerleader for the boys football team. There were no such things as participation medals. My mother was a thrower, so I have very few mementos of my youth. I did find one letter to Santa Claus asking for an atomic submarine, but that's about it.
It's a hospice!
If only they were made of actual gold or bronze, so I could sell them for parts and use them as a down payment for a house :(

No, but am proud that I didn’t ask for a Barbie doll!
Did he get you the submarine??
As we grow up and go corporate we still get participation awards, but the materials improve. Adults love glass.
You aren't going to even try to sell it as an antique?
