so we may not know how to cut an L in half but we do know how to cut a rectangle in half: just draw a diagonal from one corner to the other. or the other diagonal. but in fact, those are not the only two ways to cut a rectangle in half. In fact, there are an infinite number of ways: any line that passes through the center point (which we just found without a ruler by crossing the diagonals) cuts the L in half. So if we think of the L not as an L but as a big rectangle with a little rectangle cut out of the corner, then all we have to do to cut the L in half is draw a line that cuts both the big rectangle and the "missing" rectangle in half. So we just draw our four diagonals to get the center points of the big and little rectangles, and then connect those center points with a line... and we're done! Ok writing it out maybe it wasn't quite as simple as I'd teased. But still pretty cool if you ask me!
What do I do if my husband is a jigsaw puzzle hater and won’t do them with me?
Easy, get a new husband.
Heyyyy!
spoiler for those who are stuck on the L puzzle:
